Job Description Fragomen, an AmLaw 100 Firm and the leading global immigration services provider, is seeking a Network Engineer responsible for building, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting the firm’s network infrastructure. This includes our local office, datacenter, wireless and WAN network topologies. The Network Engineer is responsible for implementing and enforcing network policy, proactively monitoring performance and provide resolution of 2nd & 3rd level support incidents. How you will make a difference as Network Engineer at Fragomen: Manage and maintain network hardware and software Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of various network components Monitor and analyze network for resiliency and performance Understanding of firm and industry best practices and business requirements to gather data for analysis by conducting interview and independent research. Act as technical project manager and responsible for project related communications to stakeholders. Fully resolve problems with firm systems and technologies. Including root cause analysis in a 24/7/365 environment Participate in making decisions and determining actions independently and expediently to eliminate risks and ensure the continuity of business. Participate in DR and network security solution development Actively pursuing new technologies to improve effectiveness and efficiency of firm systems. Act to support all technical projects arising from the project Management office (PMO) Determine and decide when to escalate problems to vendors and ensuring resolution and reporting of resolution to stakeholders. Maintaining documentation of network, processes, procedures, troubleshooting guides and change management logs. Participate in an on-call schedule rotation Flexible to work outside of normal business hours as required. Let's talk if you have the following qualifications and experience: Wide Area Network transports including MPLS. Knowledge of common protocols such as SNMP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, NTP LDAP, KERBEROUS, RADIUS and FTP. Cisco Certifications a plus Experience managing converged enterprise networks in a large, global multi-office environment. Typically, 7 or more years of experience. Demonstrable troubleshooting abilities. Strong understanding of technical networking. Strong planning and analysis skills. Strong documentation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred Other Product and/or industry certifications are a plus Working knowledge of VPNs and enterprise gateway devices. Experience ensureing compliance to security standards and policy. Enterprise class routing protocols BGP, OSPF. Enterprise LAN technologies like VLAN, Etherchannel, Spanning-Tree Converged Networks carrying voice, video and data. Traffic prioritization, including Class of Service and QoS. Knowledgeable of Cisco Communication Manager (CUCM), messaging, presence and conferencing solution. Knowledgeable of Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE), Cisco Unity Messaging, and Cisco Call Manage Express (CME). Knowledge of Cisco router, switching and wireless hardware technologies. SDWAN optimization / traffic shaping technologies. Network monitoring and reporting tools. Use of network troubleshooting tools including network sniffers. Knowledge of WAN/LAN traffic requirements for a MS windows/Citrix based applications environment.
