Job Description: This Senior Product Specialist role will take on the role of Product Owner for a Scrum team, or equivalent responsibility on a non-Agile product team. This person will be responsible for mastering their products and evangelizing them internally and externally. They will contribute to our operational and strategic plans, working alongside Product Managers to manage the roadmap and direction of the team and product line. The Senior Product Specialist focuses on optimizing the end-user experience of a product by understanding user pain points, identifying and communicating the top issues to internal stakeholders, and providing recommendations backed by data for how to address the top support issues and improve the user experience. The Senior Product Specialist is also the SME for troubleshooting their products. They shield engineering teams by evaluating tickets and only escalating bugs or speed and stability issues that are relevant. They may also be responsible for communicating directly with clients to share workarounds, dig deeper into issues or provide product expertise. They support the Product Management team at all stages, including discovery, solutioning, launch and monitoring, in addition to execution. Direct responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Understand and articulate the goals and objectives of our end users Utilize subject matter expertise to help drive solution creation and adoption across our client base Partner with sales and client service to help maintain existing business Collect and document client/market feedback to identify and validate new products/features to provide maximum value to clients Motivate and empower the sales team via sales enablement activities Develop exceptional industry and competitor knowledge Requirements: Strong empathy for end-users and the tasks they are trying to accomplish. Understands user personas, including their daily job function, goals and challenges. Excellent organization and time management skills Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to run effective meetings internally and with clients Knowledge of off-platform products/business and/or content Strong ability to self-motivate At least two years experience in Product Development best practices, including Agile development, SDLC, User Stories and Acceptance criteria, and product release best practices Strong track record of meeting desired deadlines and product milestones Big-picture, critical thinker who is capable of taking a creative or clever approach to problem-solving Ability to troubleshoot client issues and solve them with a combination of creativity, analytical skills and subject matter expertise.
