What you will do
The Product Catalog and Application Data Manager will deliver best in class catalog and application content to Clarios Aftermarket customers. They will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, comprehensive, and timely application and product information is available to our customers, and internal teams. They’ll be responsible for managing and organizing data related to automotive batteries and vehicle fitment. Your expertise in ACES and PIES standards, along with strong communication skills, will drive the success of our catalog management efforts.
How you will do it
- Curate, maintain, and enhance our battery product application and catalog data, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Organize part data, including brand, part number, and part type, following industry standards.
- Manage application fitment data, specifying which vehicle each part fits (year, make, model, submodel, engine, etc.).
- Partner with category management to maintain master data source of fitment with vehicles and batteries in operation to support customer and Clarios assortment management activities.
- Implement and adhere to ACES (Aftermarket Catalog Exchange Standard) and PIES (Product Information Exchange Standard) guidelines.
- Ensure that all product data aligns with these standards, facilitating seamless communication across the industry.
- Engage in industry organizations, including Auto Care and BCI (Battery Council International), to ensure alignment with standards and Clarios representation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and marketing.
- Maintain a close working relationship with catalog contacts at our customers to ensure their needs are met on time and accurately.
- Conduct regular audits to verify data accuracy and completeness.
- Address any discrepancies promptly and maintain data integrity.
- Provide training and guidance on ACES and PIES standards to team members.
- Up to 10-15% travel
What we look for
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Information Systems, Automotive Technology, Engineering, cataloging, etc.).
- Automotive experience needed
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive data management, catalog management, or related roles.
- Proficiency in ACES and PIES standards.
- Familiarity with XML data formats (ACES data files are in XML format).
- Knowledge about lead acid batteries is preferred.
- Basic automotive experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of the automotive aftermarket industry and its unique data challenges.
For residents of New York City, New York, California, and Washington state only, as required under applicable pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position if filled remotely is $100,000-$130,000. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Clarios’ variable pay program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
