Title: Marine System Engineer Entry Level KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. KBR is looking for a Marine System Engineer to support our KBR Consulting Marine team. This position will be responsible for Marine System Design, including system engineering/calculation, equipment, and pipe layout. The Associate Marine Engineer will have the opportunity to work with Senior Engineers and learn from their expertise. Responsibilities: Create innovative design solutions for marine systems with the Marine Systems Design team Participate in the development of design calculations, engineering drawings, and specifications for various marine projects Conduct equipment and pipe layout design and work with team members to ensure a high-quality design Participate in the development of project plans and schedules Ensure project deadlines are met Collaborate with a variety of departments to verify that project requirements are met and are completed on time and within budget Required Education, Experience, & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in marine or mechanical engineering 0 – 2 years of related experience Piping & Instrumentation Diagram experience is required including knowledge of 2D and 3D Design Strong interest in learning and developing as a Marine System Design Engineer Proficiency with tools like PDMS, Smartplant P&ID, AutoCAD, PipeNet, and/or Fluid Flow Knowledge of local rules, codes and standards and international marine rules and regulations, practical experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Strong attention to detail Excellent time management and organizational skills Will also consider those with a master’s degree in marine or mechanical engineering Decarbonization – Energy Transition – Sustainability KBR Benefits KBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
