How you will do it: Provides drafting and design support for engineering departments by assuming full drafting responsibility for assigned projects from concept to customer subject to supervisory and engineering review with limited latitude for independent action to resolve problems. What you will do: ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES · Utilization of CAD system to develop design documentation in 2D and 3D environments. · Training and support of less experienced drafters. · Preparation of bills of material utilizing computerized BOM systems. · Development of layouts for complete projects including assemblies and component parts. · Utilize Autodesk 2018 Inventor to develop designs in a 3D environment. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: · Ability to visualize and design work in 2D and 3D. · Familiar with Microsoft Office software. · Ability to work within fast-paced, schedule driven, team oriented environment. · Working knowledge of Autocad 2018 or later versions of CAD software is required. · Working knowledge of Autodesk 2018 Inventor cad software is required. · Knowledge of drafting room procedures such as retrieving and applying information from various purchasing and manufacturing specifications and release and revision of drawings into an achieved database. In lieu of a degree, candidates with four (4) years of related drafting and design work experience will also be considered. Previous experience as a CAD operator is required. COMPUTER SKILLS Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), AutoCad and Inventor, as well as Internet software and E-mail is required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
