Job Description Summary Leads the Category Leadership Planning process organization-wide at strategic customers. Supports and consults with the customer teams in the development of Customer Category Business Plans. Job Description Leads Category Leadership Planning with strategic customers, ensuring executive-level alignment and ownership of Category Leadership plans and execution strategy Manages Category Leadership Analyst(s) Develops thought leadership by translating knowledge and data from a variety of sources into forward thinking insights that form the basis for new or evolved strategic direction Interacts with cross-functional teams within Lamb Weston and at strategic customers Identifies opportunities and recommended actions by conducting market analyses of category for strategic customer and account team Supports new item plans from a category perspective Conducts periodic and annual category reviews Oversees the conduct of category segmentation and assortment analyses for specific customers Supports the development of sales presentations for the account management team utilizing a category perspective Develops joint scorecard with specific customers to measure and evaluate plan success Basic & Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred 7 years of related experience or a related combination of education and experience Prior experience managing and developing a team required; remote people management desired. Proficient PC skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills In-depth expertise in the use and applications of a variety of technologies and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (with emphasis on Excel) and Syndicated data sources (IRI, Nielsen, SPINS); ability to work with raw retailer data, e.g. POS, FSP, Retail Link; space management software (Space Planning, Apollo, Spaceman) a plus.
