Role Summary The Communications and Engagement function delivers all communications and member and employer engagement activities for MyCSP on behalf of the Cabinet Office and the Civil Service Pension scheme. As Communications Business Partner, you’ll play a leading role in ensuring our stakeholders experience clear and joined-up communications that provide the right content, on the right channels at the right times. The major focus of this role will be to support of the 2015 Remedy (McCloud) programme, which is designed to “Remedy” the civil service pensions reforms of 2015. It’s large and complex programme, with exciting and ambitious plans for stakeholder communications and engagement. These plans include digital tools and communications, video and written content creation, social media campaigns, events, campaigns and mailings, and of course keeping on top of feedback to monitor trends and drive continuous improvement along the way. You’ll work closely with the Head of Engagement and Communications at MyCSP the existing Communications team working on Remedy, the 2015 Remedy programme team as well as the wider Communications team and colleagues across the organisation and the Cabinet Office. Together, we are leading the way in delivering modern, innovative communications and engagement solutions that help our customers understand and engage with a range of complex, nuanced topics and ultimately – save for a better future for themselves and their families. Core Duties/Responsibilities Here’s what you’ll be doing: Leading the relationship with our client Cabinet Office and other key internal stakeholders for communications and engagement activity relating to the 2015 Remedy. Developing and delivering multi-channel communications plans and campaigns that support key objectives and align with our Remedy communications plan. Working with a range of stakeholders from across MyCSP, EQ and Cabinet Office to deliver content and materials such as video, copy and social media. Coordinating approval of communications materials using our agreed ways of working. Analysing and interpreting stakeholder needs based on a range of data points and delivering recommendations for further continuous improvement. Identifying tools, techniques and opportunities to enhance engagement with Remedy Utilising the full range of communication and engagement channels available, including the scheme website, chat bot and other tools to support members and employers with understanding their pension. Responding to new requirements from members, employers, the business and Cabinet Office and integrating them into the plan. Managing and scheduling communication and engagement activity - including dealing with competing deadlines, technologies and resource demands. Preparing and presenting and information and options to stakeholders to gain approval, agreement and/or feedback. Taking ownership of the delivery of comms products from start to finish. Skills, qualifications, knowledge and mobility We’re looking for someone who: Has excellent stakeholder management skills and can build and navigate strong working relationships to deliver communications and engagement in a complex, regulated environment Has proven experience of delivering effective engagement which changes and /or reinforces behaviour Can demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences. Is able to interpret data and propose solutions which will support or change behaviours to help to achieve the client’s strategic objectives. Takes ownership and has the ability to work on their own initiative with a flexible and adaptable approach. Has a strong attention to detail. Ensures work adheres to our compliance and governance obligations. Can multitask; organising and prioritising workload to ensure all work is completed accurately and to deadlines. Is comfortable using Microsoft Office products (Office 365) and Microsoft Teams. Ideally has experience of digital content creation and editing tools including content management systems. Can uphold confidentiality when required. Having experience working in a project / programme environment would be useful Experience or knowledge of the pensions sector is an advantage, but not essential. Mobility Requirements Occasional travel required within the UK, for example to the MyCSP office in central Liverpool.
