Systems Engineer

Job Title Systems Engineer Purpose of the role The Systems Engineer will focus on product and project life cycle of self-service check-in, in the design and implementation of electrical and industrial controls elements. They will then provide support for manufacturing and implementation, ensuring that deliverables continue to meet project requirements. The Engineer will be expected to provide updates on status and escalate issues promptly. Internally, the candidate will develop tools (in the form of software and hardware solutions) and processes to improve the efficiency in manufacturing, implementation and support of products. Continuing to learn and extend themselves, helping the team as whole deliver in Amadeus' purpose. Main Responsibilities Product Development Understanding the company product range and market needs to develop and improve products. Reviewing electrical/electronic schematics as part of design review. Bench testing hardware as part of new feasibility studies or investigation of root cause analysis. Development of tools to grow automation of testing and product validation Creating technical documentation such as operation manuals to support product use Project Implementation Working through the project life cycle to identify and detail customer requirements and ensure they are being met. Development of software tools and processes to improve efficiency of project implementation in design, manufacturing, implementation and support. Assist in testing PLC and PC software and troubleshooting issues that arise during a project. Updating and creating technical documentation to define and validate project requirements. Provide remote support to commissioning teams with some occasional travel to provide on-site services. Process Improvement and Administration Engage with stakeholders to review and improve processes across products and projects. Estimation Effort estimation for design changes to products and project specific requirement Operational Escalation Providing support and feedback to operational teams in the event of escalation.
