Our team is a leading provider of Digital Transformation services for Federal agencies. Our services focus on enabling agency mission and business transformation using industry-leading low-code platforms, mobile applications, robotics process automation, and data analytics platforms. We are partnered with some of the world’s leading and most innovative companies like Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft, and UiPath. We focus on offering a full range of architecture and planning, system implementation, integration, analytics, and O&M for our customers. We are currently hiring a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation, training material, and communication deliverables that contribute to the overall success of our projects. This Technical Writer is responsible for the planning, researching, outlining, and writing of end-user documentation including all user manuals, technical manuals/documents, directives, policies, and infrastructure documentation. What you’ll be doing: Work with IT groups and ISSOs (Information System Security Officers) to describe and document systems or products that have been developed or are in the process of being developed Work with appropriate staff to update Agency directives and policies Conduct research by interviewing subject matter experts, reviewing existing documentation and by gleaning information from the system or product being documented Develop an understanding of the requirements for the features being documented, including target audience Create graphics that aid the target audience in understanding the documented material. Design and write documentation on selected media. Ensure all documentation is delivered according to specified guidelines. Proofreads documents for accuracy. Roll up components into one document Work with technical resources to improve document quality and usability Track and correct documentation defects Follow the documentation project through to completion, including client signoff, production and archival Develop and update documentation standards, templates and procedures Provide coaching and guidance to junior members What you must have: 2 years technical writing experience Must be able to obtain a Public Trust per Federal contract requirements What we’d like you to have: Experience working in Agile Teams Technical Communication Certificate or Scrum Master certification Understanding of industry publishing tools such as Adobe Writer/Reader, SnagIt and interactive training toolsets Experience with managing change management initiatives Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively and in terms that can be understood by all parties involved Quality Hawk - Adhere to quality principles (responsive, accurate, concise, strategic), style guide, and other criteria for compelling and consistent messaging and attention to details Proficient in MS Office Suite and strong grammatical skills Bachelor’s degree Working at ICF Working at ICF means applying a passion for meaningful work with intellectual rigor to help solve the leading issues of our day.
