The Global Workplace Experience (GWE) Facilities Lead oversees the implementation of the maintenance and operational project programs for Pfizer Research & Development (PRD) spaces at the Andover site. This includes preventative and corrective maintenance performed by the GWE Facilities team and service providers or obtained through Pfizer Global Supply and its service providers. It also includes the design, planning and execution of non-capital lab and office modifications requested by PRD customers. Further, this role provides subject matter expertise during all phases of the capital project process. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Manage building infrastructure, utilities, and lab support equipment to allow continuous PRD operations. This includes the selection, preventive and corrective maintenance, and replacement of building systems. Oversee hard services vendor performance of preventative and corrective work orders. Serve as building/lab infrastructure subject matter expert for PRD capital projects by conducting feasibility assessments, performing design reviews and project walkthroughs, and advising on site procedures and specifications. Collaborate with Pfizer Global Supply’s (PGS) Engineering, Maintenance and Utilities (EMU) team to trouble shoot and resolve building system issues and ensure continuous operations. Design, plan and execute non-capital projects to modify PRD office and lab spaces as requested. This includes developing scopes of work, project execution plans, project management, and vendor procurement as required by the project. Serve as a point of contact when needed between PRD customers and EMU during emergency responses, shutdowns, and infrastructure events such as loss of a utility. Ensure safety and compliance of all maintenance and projects with Pfizer and regulatory requirements. Track expenses and accruals against relevant line items of GWE budget. QUALIFICATIONS Candidate should have a BS/MS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and/or minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience. Understanding of Biopharmaceutical R&D operations, facilities management, including experience in vendor management Working knowledge of the design, operation and maintenance of purified water, steam, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, refrigeration, gases, and other building/lab systems in a cGMP biopharmaceutical environment. Familiar with reliability programs along with ability to analyze equipment failures using personal knowledge and internal and external resources. Able to work across functional areas such as operations, maintenance, quality and regulatory. Familiarity with building automation systems and ability to troubleshoot issues. Ability to read and generate documents such as Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), User Requirement Specifications (URS), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and Qualification documents. Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and other software. Ability to communicate effectively with site leadership, stakeholders, PGS partners, engineers, and maintenance personnel. Ability to shift priorities according to changes in departmental/facility needs and openness to different ideas/approaches. Ability to lead and direct the work of others. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 15.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
