Surgical Vascular Scrub Tech

Assists surgeon during operative procedures by passing instruments, medications, dressings, etc., and often provides retraction assistance. Inventorying sterile set-up as needed. Previous surgical scrub experience and/or completion of a surgical scrub tech program required. Strong knowledgebase of surgical instrumentation preferred. Strong knowledgebase in sterile technique preferred. Assists in preparing and moving patients and in cleaning the operating theater. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Reports to a charge nurse or nurse manager. Schedule: 3x12's (6:30a -7:00p) with call

Experience

• Experience: Work requires one to three months training to acquire necessary familiarity with physician's preferences and department policies and procedures. Previous surgical scrub experience and/or completion of a surgical scrub tech program required.
