Purpose Of Role: State Street Global Advisors manages around 400 funds. The Global Funds Management team provides a centralized oversight program for various SSGA products and services by implementing, managing and/or overseeing the administration, tax, treasury, fund governance and regulatory reporting requirements for SSGA Funds; including transfer agency and regulatory report distribution using both internal and external service providers. The strategic objective of the role is to ensure services provided to our funds are overseen and administered by our vendors and shareholder servicing or distribution partners pursuant to our agreements and service levels. This role primarily focuses on financial intermediary relationship oversight and overseeing several transfer agents who service our funds. . The successful candidate will work within a team of individuals engaged in similar and related activities which will provide for continued learning and cross training to support a high performing group. The candidate will also assist with ad hoc initiatives such as board reporting. Specific Duties: Administer annual iterations of the mutual fund financial intermediary oversight program in accordance with board requirements; i.e. Quarterly meetings and annual due diligence review of intermediaries. Maintain and retain records/dashboards pertaining to the oversight process Facilitate and review of financial intermediary contracting and contract amendments Evaluate intermediary shareholder servicing and or sub-transfer agency standards and requirements Facilitate setup of data transmissions between intermediaries and transfer agents Oversee establishment of opening new funds, closing of existing funds, and special projects Oversee blue sky, filings and fees along with evaluating possible sales in excess of permitted amounts Update and ensure DTCC Mutual Fund Profile II data accuracy Update and maintain procedures detailing the Transfer Agency oversight functions and reporting dissemination Facilitate the communication to all intermediary when necessary on mutual fund updates Assist with 12b-1 and Shareholder Servicing plan administration Maintain systems connectivity with transfer agents and provide reporting Cross functional interaction with RM’s, legal, compliance, Fund Administration and Tax. Review and approve invoices received from vendors Ensure timely execution of all business as usual (BAU) processes with a focus on minimizing enterprise risk Assist with ad hoc initiatives pertaining to services overseen or department or firm activities Client Service – Act as a point of contact/liaison with internal teams and transfer agents for day to day operations Identify and implement process improvements Specific Qualifications / Skills: Must be proficient in Excel and MS office products Strong understanding of registered investment companies (mutual funds and Ability to work independently, often on multiple assignments concurrently, while adhering to deadlines and the group’s standards Familiarity with Delta Data Fee Manger Strong understanding of the mutual fund financial intermediary landscape Detail oriented, strong organizational skills High level of initiative and ownership Strong verbal communication skills Quality and Risk Excellence focused Critical Behaviors: Good numerical and analytical abilities Ability to work in a deadline oriented environment Excellent attention to detail Good communication skills – both verbal and written Team player Disposition Enthusiastic Self-reliant Level Of Education: Bachelor’s degree Previous Level Of Experience: 5-8 years relevant experience in transfer agency operations or participant recordkeeping, shareholder account reporting, fulfilment, or related finance functions About State Street Global Advisors What We Do.
