What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Quality Control position at 1979?
Leading international contractor seeks a Senior Quality Control Manager to oversee and manage a large team of quality control managers located on various federal project sites throughout the U.S. and overseas. This individual will be responsible for leading the quality control processes and procedures, as well as developing, mentoring, and training other QC Managers as the organization continues to expand.
The right candidate should possess the following qualities:
- 10-15 years of construction-industry experience in a quality control function for a General Contractor or construction company.
- Knowledge of federal construction projects valued at $20 Million or more. Vertical construction experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with various federal agencies such as USACE (United States Army Corps of Engineers) or NAVFAC (Naval Facilities Systems Engineering Command)
- A leadership mentality with the ability to employ a system, process-oriented approach to quality control.
- A passionate advocate for quality control with a genuine desire to deliver a high-quality project.
- 50% travel (domestic and international) is required for this role.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
