The Position

We are seeking a Machine Operator for the 1st shift. The Machine Operator is responsible for the proper operation and basic maintenance of our Wick Machines. They will ensure the correct wick is used for work orders, and evaluate the performance of the machine to make sure it is operating within specifications. They will fill out reports using Microsoft Office products daily, and conduct cycle counts of inventory.

Rate of Pay
The Machine Operator position pays $19.00/hour.

The Hours

This position works Monday-Thursday, starting between 3:15am - 5:15am, depending on the orders being completed on that day. The shifts are 10 hour shifts. During our busy season, we anticipate there being overtime available. Some of this overtime may be mandatory for all employees based on the needs of the business. Typically, overtime is worked on Fridays, but can be on Saturdays occasionally. Busy season is typically August-December but is subject to change based on production needs.

The Location
We are located at 51 Scarborough Lane, Milford, NH. This position is onsite. Please note that we are taking precautions on COVID-19 based on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations as well as state and local guidance.

Who We Are Looking For

The Machine Operator position is a physical role with lifting, bending, twisting, and being on your feet for the entire shift. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs independently. If you are looking for a more dynamic position in the manufacturing field and have good basic math skills, this is the position for you!

Additional Job Details

• You will evaluate each work order for information such as: wick type, item number, wick length, correct sustainer, and number of wicks per container
• Maintain the production daily log and appropriate sign-off documentation
• Prepares labels for initial startup and new work orders, pull sample bags for the QA department
• Set up machine with wick and sustainer, ensure the wick is of proper length/crimp, and put the correct tooling/machine parts for different vessels on the machines.
• Mount spools and thread wickers
• Regularly perform preventative maintenance on wickers
• Responsible for daily updates and continuous track of individual and cumulative down time on wickers
• Cycle count all inventory associated with wicking
• Required daily use of Microsoft Office
• Maintain Alene standards of performance and comply with housekeeping, safety policies, and procedures
• Required to perform other duties as assigned by Assistant Supervisor
