What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Scheduler position at 1st St. NW Technical Staffing?
Immediate, direct opportunity in Milwaukee (near Menomonee Falls) for a Master Scheduler with experience in a Manufacturing &/or Job Shop environment. Working with the Operations Manager the position will schedule, direct, and coordinate with the production facility on manufacturing processes needed – including staffing, scheduling, equipment, etc… Production scheduling will aim to maximize the efficiency of the operations and reduce costs, while meeting the customer requirements.
General List of Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures ERP System process by assessing data integrity, and by following sound value stream business practices.
- Understands LEAN manufacturing utilizing the ERP system to improve flow.
- Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs.
- Maintains master distribution schedule for the assigned facility; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments.
- Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
- Performs other related duties, as required.
Qualifications/Skills
- Extremely proficient with production planning systems, such as MRP II and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as shop orders, purchase orders, and production documentation.
- Ability to complete pick lists, purchase orders, schedules and assigned reports.
- Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
- General computer skills ie; MS Office
Education/Experience:
Requires minimum of a high school degree and 3-5 years of progressively responsible related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Must have job shop, manufacturing, and/or sheet metal/fabrication experience.
