The road to a great career starts with Saia! Under the supervision of the Cargo Claims Supervisor, investigates, processes, and determines the amount of the Company's liability on low value claims. Reviews claim forms and documents for accuracy and completion and obtains missing information as needed from customer and/or terminal. Communicates with claimants, terminals, and sales. Recommends the liability amount on cargo claims less than $300, according to company policy. Recommends what shipments require inspections and handles/coordinates all ordering with outside agencies. Serves as backup to the cargo claims associate staff. Performs other related duties, as required. Today, Saia's network of terminals covers 44 states in the U.S. as well as Canada. Through our network of partners, we serve the balance of the U.S. including Alaska and Hawaii, plus Puerto Rico and Mexico. Through our three operating service groups - Saia LTL, Linkex, and Saia Logistics Services - we provide complete transportation and logistics solutions.
