The department of Supply Chain has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Contract Specialist to work at UHealth. The Contract Specialist with the Clinical Sourcing team is responsible for obtaining the best pricing and achieving the best contract terms aligned with UHealth’s needs and requirements in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Performs professional contracts review by supporting the Sourcing Manager and Sr. Contract Specialists, which consists of contracting for procurement of diverse goods and services of non-clinical commodities. Work includes executing contract processes, including analysis and reporting of contractual data and preparation of contractual documents, requesting and reviewing proposals, negotiating pricing and terms, recommending award of contracts, and maintaining contract information. Assist the Non-Clinical Sourcing Manager and Sr. Contract Specialist(s) on an as needed basis with research tied to commodities, support sourcing decisions, contracts review and negotiations and reporting. Anticipate contract issues and assists in the development of solutions. Applies strategic and logical thinking to business situations. Identify cost reduction opportunities in order to meet UHealth’s savings targets. Actively support the department's Supplier Diversity initiatives by identifying opportunities on any assigned contracts and bid opportunities to work towards increasing the participation of diverse suppliers at UHealth. Participate in bids and/or negotiates specific contracts as identified and assigned. Manages assigned contracts and projects to completion, including post-contract execution activities (ensures contracts are properly executed, archived and tagged for termination or renewals in our CLM tool).s Create/establish contracts for products and services. . Provide ongoing support concerning contract status, contract reports and pending requirements. Works with Purchasing to support contract compliance and supplier performance management. Work closely with Non-clinical service line teams which may include but not limited to Support Services, Facilities, Clinical Engineering, Pharmacy and I.T., , alongside with Value Analysis team members to identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve saving targets. Work closely with end user in providing contract status, timely research, reports (if needed) and resolution on contract inquiries. Work on a supporting capacity as a liaison between Sourcing Non-Clinical team members and suppliers and internal contract requesters. Assist with other tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Two years related experience.Experience healthcare contracts, and supply purchases is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Certified Public Purchasing Buyer (CPPB), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
