The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. We are seeking applicants with basic/translational expertise in modern pharmacology, including but not limited to drug discovery, identification and characterization of promising therapeutic targets and pathways, and development of technologies for illuminating and exploiting the untapped clinical potential of new biological mechanisms. Our department is home to a diverse faculty that combines computational and experimental approaches with a variety of model systems to address unmet needs in areas such as cancer biology, neurobiology, cardiovascular health, diabetes, substance use disorders, metabolism, and several rare diseases. We are seeking candidates that would further enrich and expand this collective expertise in new and innovative ways. Successful faculty candidates will receive competitive start-up packages and professional development including leadership training, mentor-mentee, and peer mentoring.
