Lauderdale has an exciting opportunity for a Practice Manager. The Practice Manager provides administrative direction and coordination to the formulation, interpretation, and administration of current and long-range policies, procedures, and programs of a single-specialty practice. The incumbent also assumes responsibility for the overall operations, development, and success of our medical practice. In this important role, the successful applicant acts as an information resource and ambassador to patients, physicians, staff, and the general public. Core Job Functions: Responsible for the administration of the Ft. Lauderdale Satellite practice. Manages and maintains all aspects of the daily activities of the practice for its successful operation. Develops, trains, coordinates, and recruits personnel for the practice to ensure that all offices are properly staffed and operational. Supervises the support staff to ensure patient access and satisfaction, effective and efficient coordination of out-patient appointments, appropriate scheduling, and prompt compliance documentation. Manages and coordinates the activities of the Satellite personnel. Analyzes and recommends changes in organizational structure as needed to optimize staffing needs. Approves time and attendance documents. Oversees recommendations for hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations; trains and evaluates all positions for the practice/administrative offices. Maintains and adjusts job descriptions for staff as needed. Sets goals and objectives for support staff and evaluates performance. Trains or facilitates training of personnel in the Satellite. Participates in customer service and leadership training. Ensures employees are cross trained as appropriate to ensure operations continue when staff is on vacation, sick, or resign. Attends university meetings regarding UCare, Epic implementation, HIPAA compliance, and third-party payor contracts. Develops and implements a comprehensive plan to improve patient access to physician and hospital services. Optimizes the patient flow assuring exceptional customer service and patient satisfaction. Maintains and implements policies and procedures specific to the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Coral Springs Satellite office which are consistent with the Department and University rules and compliant with state, federal, and professional regulations as well as standard policies and procedures. Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certification may be considered. Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes Knowledge of business and management principles. Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations. Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan. Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
