ROLE SUMMARY: We are looking for a strong leader in finance management to help support our malt strategy. This role serves as a key strategic advisor to the General Manager of the Idaho Falls Malt Plant, overseeing all maintenance of the site’s accounting and financial practices and programs. This individual will need to partner closely with the site department heads to execute projects and analyze performance to understand how to best deploy resources to support the business. Additionally, this individual can expect to: JOB RESPONSIBILTIES: Manage the monthly Budget and CapEx routines and deliver variance explanations, risk & opportunity identification, budget, latest estimate and key performance indicator tracking Support business cycle deliverables for Supply Package, including 1 and 3 year strategic financial planning Seek and support problem solving opportunities, while being an active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives to validate and review proposed savings Lead reporting of actuals (including organizing and leading timeliness and completeness of month-end close); and forecasting for the facility; ensuring transparency of these processes; following up and monitoring of progress to close gaps, partnering with the Senior Management team and productions team to meet targets Ensure clear control and visibility of assets and liabilities, including the development, implementation, and compliance of internal controls. Manage plant payroll process for a manufacturing facility with multiple locations and EE scheduling in timekeeping software Build and monitor monthly an annualized budget to include Revenues, Cost of Goods Sold, Variable Costs and Fixed costs in addition to Key Performance Indicators representing facility success. Execute guidelines and SOPs for purchasing, procurement, accounting, and financial controls Collaborate/identify package owners at site level and corporate level, organize monthly meetings & review, build LEs, and monitor performance Identify best practices and projects that require implementation JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required; business degree preferred. 3-5 years’ experience providing analytical support in Finance/Cost Accounting or related area. 2 years’ experience leading less complex business projects, including determining resource levels, determining timelines and action plans. Experience with customer resolution and a strong knowledge and understanding of financial processes, including financial statements, cost accounting, and a strong understanding of inventory valuation. Proven proficiency with Microsoft Windows PC applications, including Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel (i.e. large data sets, pivot tables, advanced formulas), and PowerBi is a plus. Proficiency with SAP, Business Objectives or other query type software required. Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and written / verbal communication skills.
