Hello 212 community! My name is McKenna Prahl and I am a new group fitness instructor! I am very excited to be teaching a cardio dance fitness class!
I discovered my appreciation for cardio dance while attending college at UW-Stevens Point. I attended weekly Zumba classes and soon enough was anxious to become an instructor myself. I looked into training classes but did not fulfill my certification until recently when I revisited this dream of mine! I am thrilled to start teaching classes!
Cardio dance is a fun, high-energy exercise to enhance your fitness routine. For members wanting to join, this class includes a warm up, an escalation of energetic songs, a cool down, and stretch time. There are a variety of international song influences from all over the world including latin rhythm dance such as Reggaeton, Merengue, and Salsa.
I also work full-time as a second grade teacher at Rosholt School District. I grew up in Iola, WI but I now live in Stevens Point. I have been in the central Wisconsin area my whole life. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, being outside, listening to music, playing sports, working out at the 212 gym, hiking, hammocking, and visiting local coffee shops!
