Carpenter

General Summary of Duties:

The Carpenter is responsible for performing both rough and finish carpentry, involving cutting, shaping, planning, and fastening together pieces of wood and other materials.

Key Skills & Competencies: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

· Prepare the layout of the project

· Estimate height, width, length, and other proportions

· Select materials

· Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures

· Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives

· Work on top of scaffolding, ladders

· Check work along the way to ensure it's up to spec and code

· Build stairs, mantles, and furniture

· Install cabinets and molding

· Must be able to interpret and build from blueprints

· Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job

· Understands and meets the needs of the Company’s Management team

· Works cooperatively with others, establishes rapport and assists others

· Capable of performing laborious work in varied conditions

· Proactively addresses problems and works quickly to resolve

· Demonstrates ability to work within timelines, structures and budgets

· Supports company vision and values

· Must be willing to cross train throughout the Company as needed

Experience Requirements

· 5 years of carpentry experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Las Vegas, NV: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Carpentry: 5 years (Preferred)
