ANTICIPATED POSITIONS: Special Education Education - ESY
LOCATION: This is a remote/telework opportunity.
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Summer school teachers are expected to perform the assigned duties and responsibilities of the position, which include teaching each day, creating assignments based on standards, grading within 24 hours, reaching out to students not logged in, and responding to email communications from students, parents, staff and administrators.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Send a welcome email and video to all students prior to the first day of ESY.
- Reply to emails and voicemails within 24 hours. Emails and voicemails received Thursday evening through Sunday should be answered on Monday.
- Grade student work within 24 hours.
- Reach out by phone to students who are behind and email the point target. Also reach out to students who haven't submitted in two days. Please let the administration know if you have tried contacting a student 3 times with no answer.
- Collaborate with related service providers.
- Sort all ESY students into groups: 3 math groups, 3 reading groups, 3 writing groups based on IEP goals. Check that all students on the ESY list are placed into a math, reading, and writing class group.
- Complete progress reports and make IEP revisions if necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS: PA Instructional I or II Certification(s) in Special Education

Monday-Thursday 8:30am-1:00 pm.
Salary: $42/hour up to $7,540 max. Timesheets will be submitted for all hours worked.
