Accounting & Reporting Senior Analyst

Being part of the Corporate Accounting team, this role is responsible for ensuring accurate departmental accounting, preparation of month end accruals and facilitating with the correct handling of vendor and customer bills. He/she will be asked to support the team with managing an efficient closing process, audits and control reviews; to ensure timely and high-quality completion of associated tasks and deliverables. The role involves interfacing with the various finance teams of the Warsaw shared service (GL/AR/AP), but also other functional teams outside of Warsaw (marketing, procurement, HR, etc.). MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION Department accounting and Financial Close Monitoring and ensure correct departmental accounting throughout the month. Develop entity specific guidelines for the Holding – if deemed necessary. Build a knowledgebase and competence related to departmental accounting and share knowledge with other stakeholders (e.g. RAP). Ensure that enquires from Group CFO / FP&A, etc. are addressed fully and in a timely manner. Organize analytical review of BS / PL on a quarterly basis, support the team with the review of trial balance each month, ensure correct and consistent use of accounting ledgers and facilitate the closing process in general. Contribute to and actively take part in successful external audits, internal audits and control reviews. Accruals/provisions/PO Preparation and monitoring of ADC Holdings related accruals / provisions and other manual posting requests (e.g. department reclassification postings). Preparation and maintenance of ADC Holdings PO report – as a basis for accrual preparation. Preparation of standard journal request for on hold and pending approval accruals. Preparation of monthly re-occurring journal requests for the Holding, advise on invoice & PR coding. Spot checking and verifying correctness of coding for invoices already posted (e.g. prepayment treatment) and support the AP Team with resolving issues related to vendor bill postings. Other tasks Initiate / support with customer and vendor master data request. Assessment of complex accounting matters on the basis of IFRS, support with the preparation of accounting papers (when needed). Various ad-hoc tasks and projects associated with the accounting / reporting. QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: Bachelor or Master degree in Finance/Economics/Accounting/Business Management or similar subject. At least 4 years of experience in financial or management reporting environment with a multi-national organization or with a professional audit / consulting firm. Familiar with the theory and practice of preparing a consolidated balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement - in accordance with IFRS, preparation of accounting papers and dealing with financial auditors. Excellent analytical skills: able to analyze financial data (operational and at strategic level) and to present financial insights in a concise manner.
