Estimator

At 221 Construction LLC, we're a complete construction and design company, handling everything from new construction, additions, and both major and minor remodels in both the commercial and residential markets. As a family-owned business, we value finding the perfect candidate to join our team.

Right now, we're in search of an experienced estimator and purchaser to join our team, to help improve the accuracy and timeliness of the bidding process. Experience in both Residential and Commercial is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Review projects with the salesperson and designers to establish scope of work for pricing and take offs.
• Perform detailed Material and Labor take offs for all aspects and scopes of Residential and Commercial construction, including but not limited to Remodeling and New Construction.
• Pre-order materials as appropriate prior to starting the job and working with scheduler/project manager to coordinate deliveries.
• Maintain and expand list of vender and subcontractor contacts and relations to source materials and labor for a wide variety of Residential and Commercial jobs.
• Build out detailed estimates and proposals with the salespersons in Buildertrend.
• Attend job hand-off meetings.
• Review subcontractor bids prior to awarding work. Coordinate all subcontractors with Project manager and Crew Lead prior to job start.
• Review job-cost summaries every two weeks with the Project manager, and at the end of the job.
• Coordinate with Accounting on job costs and current purchasing power.
• Coordinate with Project manager or scheduler on long lead item deliveries for proper job coordination.

Qualifications:

• Trade school or college degree encouraged but not required.
• Five years of Residential and Commercial Remodeling and New Build experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of basic building code requirements.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical requirements.
• Ability to perform material and labor takeoffs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with digital project management programs.
• Valid Drivers License.
• Detail Oriented and organized.

Pay Range:

This will be a salaried position, salary based on experience, starting $70,000.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
