Insulation Installer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a contract Insulator to move our renovation project forward. As an Insulator, you will be responsible for installing insulation materials in a basement ADU and a converted attic to meet code and ensure energy efficiency and temperature control. Your attention to detail and knowledge of insulation techniques will contribute to the overall quality and functionality of our projects.

Duties:
- Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas
- Install resilient channel (RC) on basement ceilings and walls as well as insulation in walls, ceilings, floors, and other designated areas
- Seal gaps and joints with appropriate materials to prevent air leakage
- Apply vapor barriers and fire-resistant coatings as required
- Fabricate insulation materials as needed
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure proper installation
- Follow safety protocols, detailed permit plans and guidelines at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Insulator or similar role in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of insulation techniques and materials
- Familiarity with construction painting, masonry, trim carpentry, concrete finishing, metal stud framing, and stucco is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Mechanical knowledge and experience working in older homes is preferred
