What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at 24 carrots Catering and Events?
Bartenders will be responsible for assisting in the execution of services at The Living Room Bar & Lounge at The Richland. They will perform duties assigned to them by the Bar Manager and actively contribute as an integral part of the team. Lounge service to cover lunch, dinner and late-night service hours, as well as auxiliary assistance to private events held in The Richland’s Estelle Ballroom. Duties will include all services required to successfully execute daily bar and lounge operations of The Richland. The initial operations hours of the lounge will be evening service only, Wednesday through Sunday.
The Richland is a reimagined boutique hotel and events venue Orange, CA, steps from the historic Orange Plaza. The hotel lounge features an intimate bar and seating area for private events, hotel guests, local patrons and private events hosted at our venue. The Richland is owned and operated by 24 Carrots, Southern California’s premier catering and events company.
The lounge menu will offer a freshly prepared menu and carefully curated cocktail list along with local draft beer. Although the lounge is intimate, with bar-style seating for up to 30 guests, events with guest counts of 200 will utilize the lounge bar for events. Events include weddings, corporate and social events, and local community gatherings.
Our ideal bartender will have a strong knowledge of spirits and craft cocktail bartending.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain safety and organization
Assist in opening and closing duties of the bar
Keep the bar stocked with liquor, beer, wine, glassware, ice, garnishes, napkins, straws, etc.
Stay on task and work effectively
Be proactive in anticipating the needs of guests
Balance and carry trays of food and beverages
Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc. as needed
Ensure a high level of quality and speedy service

UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
Your uniform must be clean, wrinkle-free, and meet all the requirements below:
Set up shirts are solid black t-shirts or polos, no logos or designs on them of any kind.
Social event uniform shirts must be solid black, long sleeved, collared dress shirts.
Dress shirts must be always tucked in.
Social event dress slacks need to be solid black, straight leg, with no pinstripes or patterns
Socks must be solid black and cover the ankle
Footwear must be solid black, comfortable, slip resistant, and polishable. Your shoes must be kept clean and in good condition
24 Carrots will provide the tie, tie clip, and bistro apron for the social uniform.
Hair must be neatly tied back and secured away from face.
Men are allowed to have a neatly trimmed beard, mustache, or goatee no longer than 1cm.
Fingernails are to be clean and manicured. No nail polish or artificial nails of any kind are permitted due to health code and food safety.
