Job Description Role Overview PFM’s Harrisburg office is seeking a Client Consultant (“CC”), which is an integral role within our Client Services Group (“CSG”). Client Consultants interact with clients on a daily basis, serving their needs, answering any questions they may have, and initiate proactive outbound calling efforts to include marketing campaigns and appropriately positioning the firm’s fixed rate/fixed term products with our clients. CCs must be knowledgeable of all PFM Asset Management products and services and impart this knowledge to our clients. They are also responsible for understanding the financial markets and translating market impacts to portfolio performance and the articulation thereof to our clients. They work extensively and collaboratively with other members of the Client Service Group and the Relationship Management Team, with the goal of supplying superior client service that will grow assets in our programs and products. These positions are client facing both by phone and in-person. This position will have general CC responsibilities and will also specialize in positioning fixed rate/fixed term products with our clients where appropriate. Job Responsibilities Client communication with a focus on superior client service, including but not limited to: Educate clients on current market conditions and present applicable investment opportunities Be knowledgeable regarding state specific investment statutes and how they may affect a client’s investment options Communicate investment maturities of non-discretionary accounts and cash flow driven portfolios to clients in a timely manner and provide reinvestment recommendations Provide an overview of PFMAM’s products and services to clients and prospects Participate in industry conferences and client meetings Have a good understanding of the various reports sent to clients and the ability to answer client questions relating to the reports Demonstrate knowledge of equity and fixed income funds, short and intermediate term fixed income investments, and money market instruments Demonstrate a clear understanding of client needs and product utilization Works with the Key Account Manager as a liaison between the Client Service Group and all other departments within the organization to achieve regional goals Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of client reports and other written communications Receive incoming phone inquiries from existing clients, prospects, and marketing representatives and follow up with accurate and timely responses Assist with RFP responses Proactively generate outbound calls to existing clients promoting PFM’s products and services Assist with updating client information with form processing through internal database Required Skills Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field Experience: Candidates with 3 years of prior financial services industry experience preferred for the Client Consultant role. Active FINRA Series 6 and 63 certifications required. Employees without active certifications must obtain these certifications within 3 months of hire date as a requirement of continued employment in these roles.
