JOB PURPOSE:
The Job Coach helps our clients understand their capabilities and interests, and set career goals. The Job Coach is an innovative thinker and builds community partnerships related to client employment opportunities. They explore a client’s potential as it relates to the job market and coaches individuals in all phases of the job search process including but not limited to: teaching career readiness classes, providing job coaching, setting up volunteer and internship opportunities, meeting with potential and current employers, resolving issues. The Job Coach finds competitive employment in a timely manner and follows employment plans.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
- Provide on site Job Coaching when clients are placed at a job site and at internship (Local travel required)
- Work together with employment for opportunities for students
- Forward and innovative thinking on employment opportunities in the community
- Develop a network and contacts within the community for future employment needs and partnerships
- Engage clients in conversation to determine their specific backgrounds, career aspirations and personalities
- Provide pre employment training such as elevator speech, resume writing and interview prep
- Find successful competitive employment based off their interests, desires and goals
- Develop and implement individualized employment plans with clients and ensure that they understand the metrics of each devised plan
- Provide job follow-up services and understand how to fade supports to natural employment supports
- Provide some transportation for employment purposes to clients
- Assist in identifying volunteer opportunities for 29 Acres programs
- Serve as an advocate for students
- Engage in ongoing professional development
- Collaborate with other professionals while maintaining a “can do” attitude
- Perform other assignments as delegated by the leadership team
- Be able to maintain a flexible schedule in order to attend to client needs
REQUIREMENTS AND SCOPE:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree (required)
- 1 years experience working with individuals with special needs (required)
- 1 years experience placing adults in competitive employment opportunities (preferred)
- UNTWISE credentials (preferred)
- Pass criminal background check and drug test
- Hold a valid Texas driver’s license and possess an acceptable driving record
- Regular access to a vehicle for travel between job sites
Skills:
- Demonstrate excellent public relations and community organization skills

- Exhibit excellent communication skills (written and oral)

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
