What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3D Artist position at 2K?
HB Studios is a driving force in the creation of sports video games and the studio behind PGA TOUR 2K Golf. Our team is growing, and we are looking for a 3D Artists to join our team of professionals who are passionate about the art and process involved in video game development.
As a 3D Artist, you will design and create AAA quality 3D assets that implement the vision of the product's style and concept.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Art Lead to help visualize and develop game design.
- Precise creation of the best models, concepts and additional assets.
- Creates 3D models and textures for characters, environments, and objects.
- Work with development team to prioritize and develop procedural assets to streamline art processes, workflows, and pipelines.
- Create high and low-poly models using cutting edge techniques and pipelines.
- Maintain the finished models throughout the life-span of the project.
- Provides technical direction and guidance to Junior 3D Artist and Animators.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of progressively complex related professional experience.
- Proficient with Maya, 3DMax, Photoshop, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer and Unity.
- A reliable great teammate with the ability to work independently.
- An effective communicator in both verbally and written forms.
- A detail-oriented person with flexibility and problem-solving skills.
