What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Technician I - 2nd shift position at 2nd shift - Hendrickson Careers?
Position Purpose:
Responsible for the functions of inspection and quality control operations on incoming materials and parts to meet maximum quality. To maintain document control, calibration, product approval, weld control, and receiving inspection systems. Obtain needed equipment and supplies
Essential Functions:
· Measures and evaluate product capability using sound measurement techniques and equipment.
· Interprets print for measurement accuracy ensure quality and conformity
· Assist personnel and suppliers with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
· Assist with maintaining and improving of the Quality Management System.
· Inspect and evaluate components and suspensions returned from customers and specify work necessary before components can be returned to stock.
· Performs product audits using sound measurement techniques
· Inspects incoming parts using engineering drawings and specification sheets to ensure quality and conformity, performs in-process Quality Audits.
· Record inspection data applying quality control procedures. Maintain paperwork and test data of inspections.
· Coordinate with purchasing to non-conforming control materials program shipment of non-conforming parts back to vendor.
· Other duties as assigned.

Education and Training
· High School Diploma
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience 0-3 years. Entry level-- basic mechanical aptitude, little or no experience necessary.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
- Must be self-motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented with ability to multitask.
