Job Description
The 2nd Watch Solution Owner role is the glue that holds our joint client / 2nd Watch delivery teams together across a diverse spectrum of digital transformation initiatives. Our Solution Owners are project and program delivery leaders and scrum masters, responsible for shepherding our most complex multi-disciplined engagements through delivery on time and on budget. They are at the leading edge of agile technology delivery and are relentlessly focused on driving successful business and technology outcomes with our clients. They are customer obsessed stewards of our Delivery Excellence principals responsible for client satisfaction. This role is the primary counterpart to a client Product Owner, responsible for working with high velocity development teams to translate requirements into relevant and actionable user stories for delivery during the sprint cycle. Solution Owners manage all day-to-day aspects of client delivery, from meeting coordination and facilitation to tooling governance, deliverable creation and status reporting. This role has a utilization expectation of 80%.
Where you will focus…
You’ll be relentlessly focused on business outcomes and work closely with our clients, particularly the Product Owner role, to drive successful delivery.
You are experienced in Agile software delivery, and you will spearhead delivery engagements involving multiple workstreams through the appropriate Agile approach (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
You will refine the project governance framework to meet client needs and deliver within that framework
You will be responsible for all program-level client / 2nd Watch coordination, communication, and delivery.
You will lead delivery teams, manage issues, mitigate risks, facilitate and attend meetings, and supply status reporting and financial burn downs to leadership.
You will create presentations and work product for delivery to our clients. Examples of work product can include project artifacts such as draft deliverables, backlog documentation, architecture designs and product roadmaps.
You own all Scrum ceremonies as appropriate and create associated artifacts including, but not limited to, level of effort estimation, capacity and resource planning and velocity tracking.
