What We’re Looking For:

The Senior Director of Financial Planning will work with the SVP Financial Planning to assist in developing budgets, forecasts, and financial metrics. This position will manage a team dedicated to providing financial support to business divisions owners within 2U, with primary responsibilities to include:

Key Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain long term business models 
  • Assist in managing the annual budget process, transitioning to a bi-annual process in 2018
  • Develop quarterly/yearly forecast process, assisting in close process as needed 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key business owners including Get Smarter
  • Develop and distribute monthly a to-be-created executive reporting package
  • Manage monthly budget variance process with departmental owners
  • Build of BOD financial reporting requirements
  • Build quarterly financial earnings call support
  • Assist with transitioning revenue role to new Director
  • Maintain and integrate Adaptive Planning with Workday and other systems as required
  • Manage and develop financial team 

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Business-related field with an emphasis in Finance/Accounting, MBA preferred
  • 7 years of experience in financial analysis, financial planning, accounting and/or budgeting
  • Expertise in financial planning & analysis
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and related analytical tools

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($125,000 -$145,000), with potential bonus eligibility.  Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
