Job Details: Job Summary: Plan, direct, and manage the Operations Studio to ensure that programs are completed in a cost-effective manner while meeting the customer’s needs. Provide studio-wide direction in establishing policy and procedures, and planning the Advanced Learning Product Line. Prepares or assists in the preparation of the departmental budget. Plans, conducts, technically directs and tracks progress of studio projects from a functional perspective. Establishes and monitors work priorities and schedules. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Functionally manage Systems Engineers, Technical Designers, Instructional System Designers, Software Engineers, Artists, Technical producers, Subject Matter Experts, Software Quality Engineers and their respective functional managers Manage employees in performance of work; conduct performance evaluations and recommend salary adjustments and personnel actions to include hiring, discipline, recognition and termination. Motivate, delegate, coach and train subordinates Develop and maintain a technical roadmap and vision for all studio products Develop and maintain performance metrics for each functional group Develop and maintain processes for all studio functions Support proposals to include estimating, technical solutions and technical writing Support the develop and administration of budgets, schedules and performance standards Monitor the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the projects supported Ensure conformance with configuration management documentation requirements including engineering change proposal submittals Establish work goals and allocate resources for all studio functions Ensure achievement of schedules and budgets for all studio projects Conduct briefings and participate in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific operations Keep informed of new developments in game production and advanced learning techniques and technology Minimum Job Requirements: Four-year college degree in a business discipline or engineering discipline, plus eight years' experience in areas of sales, business development, product marketing, product development, strategy or technology leadership. MBA degree desirable. Demonstrable experience in working with senior business leaders within customers, industry forums and internally. Experience in developing industry relationships through sales or partnerships highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Broad business experience evaluating markets and business opportunities. Ability to plan work, prioritize work, complete multiple tasks and work under deadlines. Mental ability to perform analytical work. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to develop consensus on plans through dealing with diverse internal and external stakeholders. May be required to travel domestically and internationally and work odd hours, in-line with job requirements.
