Job Summary: Performs Instructional design assignments with clear and specified objectives. Prepares detailed training materials and curriculum for GATR product designs and to meet customer needs. Will work closely with Customer Support Specialists to ensure curriculum matches real world use and product design.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Use the ADDIE development model, the TRADOC 350-70 training development regulations, the Army Learning Concept, adult learning theory, and sound instructional strategies
· Review training requirements to analyze the target audience, develop task analysis reports, create observable and measurable learning objectives, select methods of instruction, media, instructional strategies, and assessment strategies to create sound lesson designs
· Be responsible for accurately entering training content into the Army’s Training Development Capability (TDC) database for customer review and approval and will make content and design revisions as required
· Develop lesson content and materials, to include lesson plans, student assessments, quick reference guides, instructor guides, student guides, and handouts
· Develop storyboards and work closely with multi-media and technical training developers to create graphics, interactive multimedia instruction, web-based training content, computer-based training materials, and simulations
· Responsible for the maintenance of all current classroom curriculum, the delivery of train-the-trainer instruction, and the evaluation of student performance and content effectiveness in the classroom
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Must be able to successfully communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with the training manager, technical developers, multimedia specialists, customers, instructors, subject matter experts, and management on a daily basis
· Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education or a related field or formal training or Certification in Instructional Design
· Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in using the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) development process within a TRADOC organization
· Must be trained and proficient in the use of the customer’s database of record for storing training data (currently TDC)
Credentials and Experience
· A minimum of 4 years of directly related experience is preferred
· Experience in WIN-T training development
· Army communication and signals experience
· Graphics design skills preferred
Special Requirements:
· Must be a US citizen
· Must have active Security Clearance (Secret or above) and the ability to keep and maintain clearance
· Limited Travel may be required
