Property Maintenance

We are needing to fill a full time Property Maintenance position in Southeast Oklahoma City. This position requires a wide skillset since the maintenance person will be performing many different types of tasks on the (roughly 40 acre) estate. I am looking for candidates that have worked a landscape company or golf course long term. The right candidate will have extensive knowledge of grass, turf, plants and trees. The estate holds a large pool that requires daily maintenance and care. This position is greatly based on daily, weekly and monthly tasks, so the right candidate will be organized, detailed and comfortable with check lists and reporting progress. The tools for the job are on site will need a caretaker that keeps them clean and organized. The right person must be very honest and trustworthy, as this is a private residence for a family with 2 children and 4 dogs.

Estate information:

• ~ 40 acres
• ~ 7 acres of manicured lawn
• ~ 25,000 square foot residence
• ~ 33,000 square foot barn with multiple spaces
• Expansive swimming pool (60,000 gallons) and hot tub area

Primary skills required:

• Experience in landscaping and turf (REQUIRED)

• Must have a detailed understanding of turf types and growing environments.
• Must understand different plants and what they require (sunlight, water, placement, etc.)
• Must be able to take ownership of the many flower beds on the property and keep them clean, mulched and bright.
• Must understand schedules and needs for pre & post emergent, aerating, watering, weed control, fertilizer, and pest control.
• We have several automatic, robotic lawn mowers, but candidate must be able co supplement mowing with zero turn that is on site
• Must have great attention to detail for trimming, edging, etc.

Pool maintenance:

• The large pool on the estate requires daily vacuuming (motorized robot vacuum)
• Daily water testing and chemical adjustments
• Daily temperature checks
• Quarterly filter cleaning and replacing

General Maintenance:

• Basic maintenance and oil changes on small engines (mowers, trimmers, etc.)
• Light plumbing when needed
• Daily trash runs
• Weekly cleaning of barn floors with walk behind scrubber
• Occasional use of tractor, man lift, scissor lift and other equipment
• Must be comfortable driving a truck with large trailers
• May be required to work events at the property

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
