Director of Planning and Business Analytics

Pioneer the creation of a Planning/Allocation/Business Analytics department. Develop scale-able systems, tools, reports and processes which will enable further growth and profit in all channels: Ecommerce, retail stores and wholesale. Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Merchandising, Ops/Distribution, Sales, and investor group.

DTC/retail stores:

Develop sales and inventory plans aligned with Merchandising and Financial targets. Tops down, bottoms up, and reforecasting. Identify risks and opportunities.

Effectively manage and optimize inventory while protecting margins. Manage seasonal discounts, markdown cadence, exit strategies for aging stock.

Drive Open to Buy management with Merchandising team

Monitor and analyze daily/weekly/monthly/seasonal/annual performance of the business. Ad-hoc analysis and reforecasting as needed.

Create selling/inventory/hindsight reports for the cross functional team in order to draw conclusions and build action plans.

Develop processes and tools to effectively manage a robust Core reorder business

Ownership of IT solutions and data for the product team: Planning/Allocation/Inventory management/Merchandising. Identify and integrate the best systems solutions for business needs.

Wholesale:

Annual/seasonal/monthly sales and inventory plans

Reforecasting and in-season reaction as needed based on sales trends, shipping, cancellations, reorders, off price.

Data delivery:

Experience with various PLM/ERP systems as well as inventory management software and apps

Recommend and implement solutions for cross-functional data sharing and management

This person will be creating a new role and setting up all sales/inventory-related new functions and processes from scratch. Start-up experience is a major asset, along with business vision, self-initiative, flexibility, collaborative attitude and a sense of urgency. Organizational and communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy are a must.

8-10 years in multi-channel retail planning/analysis

BA/BS degree

Advanced Excel skills

Knowledge of Full Circle ERP, Shopify a plus
