Airbus has an opportunity for a Head of Industrial Maintenance to join the team at Broughton Plant. The Industrial Maintenance organisation provides maintenance across a broad range of installed assets including mechanical and electrical CNC machinery, conventional production machinery, paint shops and chemical processing plants. The asset park is serviced by a mix of internal skilled Maintenance Technicians and contractors. You will be responsible for a team of maintenance personnel working across shifts to deliver asset safety and reliability to the Operations customer; maintaining machines and industrial systems, applying preventive maintenance plans, performing diagnosis and corrective maintenance, and developing improvements to maintenance plans and regimes. You will also be responsible for customer interface with internal customers, ensuring all Plant Production Support service levels are achieved. This includes first escalation and customer satisfaction management for Information Management, Facilities Management, and Tooling. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM Ensure employee safety through competence management, risk assessment and risk reduction, audit and legislative compliance Provide safe assets through proactive maintenance Maintain a Quality Management System and ensure compliance to provide standardised ways of working. Manage audits and effective nonconformance resolution and ensure the business remains compliant with Airbus procedures and practices Maintain budget adherence by controlling spend and effectively managing financial risk and opportunity. Anticipate planned spend and mitigate deviations from budget Ensure work is planned and executed in a controlled manner with robust procedures and processes in place minimising impact on production Conduct regular performance analysis to reduce breakdown rates and improve reliability and conduct ‘Deep Dives’ where performance gaps, or potential performance gaps present themselves, implementing customer protection and countermeasures as the situation dictates Develop and manage sub contract maintenance activity Understand the asset criticality within the plant and manage maintenance according to priority Develop maintenance strategy and deploy best practices ABOUT YOU Degree level qualification, preferably in maintenance engineering Demonstrated experience in a Manufacturing Maintenance role Proven experience of leading a multi-skilled team HOW WE CAN SUPPORT YOU Many of our staff work flexibly in many different ways, including part-time.
