Summary The Analytics Product Management organization within Digital & Analytics is entrusted with key Business and Analytics’ team relationships, iterative delivery and measurement of business value, and application of agile and product management best practices. The organization works closely with partners in the Data & Analytics Engineering organization. The Business Product Owner (BPO) is customer-focused and acts as a conduit between the Agile Team(s) and the Business Intelligence stakeholder. The BPO partners with the Technical Product Owner, the Delivery Leads in Engineering, and others to ensure that business outcomes are achieved based on priorities and consumable value. The BPO is responsible for defining the vision, scope, and priority of the program backlog to be delivered by the Agile Release Train (ART), and reviews the quality of the product that the team produces. BPO focuses on stakeholders within the Business and Analytics community who rely on Business Intelligence tools to inform strategic business decisions. The BPO works in collaboration with business leaders to provide strategic partnership in analytics, identify and prioritize opportunities for impact, develop analytic solutions, leverage data science and technology capabilities, embed analytics-driven processes, and measure impact to support decision making and execution. Responsibilities Collaborates with Business Intelligence stakeholders to fully understand the user experience, pain points, and needs to enable their best work Is the “voice of the customer,” ensuring that the highest value work is being delivered in a way that not only meets the customer’s need, but delivers incremental value frequently Defines the product vision & strategy, and partners with the Technical Product Owner to translate into an executable product roadmap Partners with engineering leadership to ensure analytics needs are represented during decision making process Owns the creation of epics to support analytic needs Ensures features and stories clearly communicate stakeholder needs to the scrum team, with clear description and acceptance criteria Participates in essential meetings, agile ceremonies, and release planning conversations to ensure training or documentation resources support a successful adoption Communicates and reports on progress regularly with stakeholders Works closely with all teams to evangelize the “Product Mindset” Trains end users and monitors usage of tools for improved adoption Coordinates and oversees process improvement initiatives Qualifications 5 years’ experience in data analytics is required 2 years Agile experience is preferred Must demonstrate a “product mindset” with the ability to problem solve, collaborate, and deliver business value in an iterative 2 years’ experience working with Business Intelligence tools Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with senior leadership Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire a high-performance culture and experience, with direct and indirect management of employees in a matrixed environment Must be a problem solver; strategic thinking is required; must be able to track to goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture Excellent organization skills; proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Flexibility to change course based on business needs as required; operates well with ambiguity Change leader who will be proactive in assisting positive growth for the future Experience building use cases based on expected value is required Experience measuring results post-implementation is required Experience in healthcare environment is preferred Experience estimating costs is highly preferred Experience working with or as a data scientist and/or data analysts is preferred Experience with Jira or Rally for documenting project requirements is preferred Experience in roadmap creation and management is preferred If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 88,400 - 147,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
