As a Trading Application Engineer, you have an opportunity to leverage and deploy technologies in a fast-paced environment, monetizing Chevron's assets and making a real impact on the bottom-line. Currently there is a focus on modernization, replacement of credit system, evaluation of the trading system landscape and incorporation of lower carbon goals. This role is in the Natural Gas Trading team. The work includes support analyst scope, and the application engineer should be able to effectively represent acquired business requirements and collaborate with IT development teams with a primary focus on maintaining vendor software and optimizing evergreen support through configuration, automation, and integration. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Can bridge communications between IT and business partners effectively Current Agile practitioner, an active member of an Agile team, participates in the ceremonies and delivers output through agile methodologies. Tackle complex business problems to reach practical solutions. Collaborate with scrum master and product owners on a regular basis to provide update on the project deliverables as well as to discuss levers for improvements. Help to clearly articulate the PI epics and features that the team plans to work on during PI planning. Responsible for collaborating across trading product line with key business and IT stakeholders to try drive towards a successful completion of deliverables as agreed on for each PI. Should be good at executing POC ('s) based on data analysis as this helps the product owner put together a strong case for features that team needs to work on in the next PI. Understand and facilitate knowledge sharing on system as well as processes to build the trading IT capability. Proactively engage with business to build relationships that help realize opportunities and generate a good work culture. Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in Endur v16.1 or higher projects & implementations with end-to-end trade lifecycle process Experience in all areas of Endur, including, but not limited to the following: Trading Scheduling Credit Contracts Risk Accounting Settlements Experience in natural gas and LNG commodities Knowledge of Upstream, Midstream & Downstream business workflows. Knowledge of commercial and trading business processes is preferred but not required. Experience interfacing the Endur application with external components for the purposes of data transfer both inbound and outbound Requirements gathering from end-users Unit, Integration & Performance testing of developed solutions Follow the Agile process Skills Hands-on working experience with Endur and experience managing a large suite of applications Demonstrated knowledge in application support and development including moving software from test to production status under software engineering principles and documenting solution components. Experience building and supporting low code solutions. Demonstrated proficiency in .Net, C#, SQL, Open API and Azure is preferred. Experience with application testing suites. IT Infrastructure and Cloud application development and hosting Experience in collaborating and influencing cross-functional teams Excellent communication skills - should be able to articulate complex technical data that is easily understandable by a wide variety audience like business partners, non-IT stakeholders Demonstrated leadership Skills Experienced working with Agile Frameworks, Scrum, and DevOps. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or in any engineering field required.
