As an Architect in the Data and Analytics Practice, you will be responsible for delivering quality solutions using the Microsoft’s Business Intelligence and Azure suite of tools, technologies, platforms, and patterns. 3Cloud’s Architects are skilled at designing technical solutions for gathering, landing, consuming, and analyzing data across the Azure platform, including SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Cosmos DB, Power BI, Databricks and related technologies. You will work with customers to discover their business needs and design the solution that best meets those needs. Your focus will be on designing systems that support the lifecycle of data – from applications, to reporting, to analytics, to long term storage and retrieval, using Azure technologies and supporting the movement of data across the lifecycle. Responsibilities
- Leverage advanced database systems including data warehouses, data marts, and models needed for business, financial and operational analysis and/or reporting with Azure technologies
- Design and help develop high performing, reliable and scalable solutions
- Perform data analysis that will support and enhance Information Management systems
- Clearly communicate technical details to business and management personnel
- Author, oversee and gain approval of design documents for projects assigned
- Work independently or lead a team to design and develop solutions
- Assist business development team with pre-sales activities and RFPs
- Provide meaningful feedback and coaching of other team members to successfully overcome technological challenges
- Lead and demonstrate emerging technologies and concepts to teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree desired in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with database design and Architecture, at least 2 years with Azure technologies, and previous Consulting experience
- Expert knowledge of Data Management, Business Intelligence and Analytics concepts including:
- Data Movement (ETL/ELT)
- Data Warehousing (Designing and Implementing, Azure SQL, Synapse)
- Azure Storage Technologies (Data Lake, Blob Storage)
- Data Governance (including Data Quality and Profiling, Master Data Management, and Metadata Management)
- Business Intelligence, including Reporting and Visualizations (Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and Scorecards)
- Predictive, Prescription, and Descriptive Analytics
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies:
- SQL Server on premises plus cloud supported versions)
- Azure Data Factory (including ARM templates)
- Azure Synapse, Cosmos DB
- Azure Data Lake/Azure Blob Storage
- Power BI for reporting and analytics
- Databricks
- Azure DevOps (including building Stories and tasks, and using development pipelines and ARM templates for publishing code)
- Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills for both technical and non-technical teams
- Passionate about learning new technologies
- Analytical approach to problem-solving; ability to use technology to solve business problems

Additional Preferred Experience:
- Analytics and Data Science tools, technologies, and techniques (R, Python, algorithms, Azure ML Studio/Services)
- Custom Visualizations in Microsoft Power BI using D3 and jQuery
- Azure Infrastructure architecture and design
- Knowledge and experience using Azure DevOps for source control, project deployment and project management
- Certifications are a plus
