Scrum Master Responsibilities:
Act as a Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, etc.).
Remove impediments to the team's progress, ensuring a smooth and efficient development process.
Work closely with Product Owners to prioritize backlogs and ensure alignment with business goals.
Delivery Management:
Collaborate with product and project managers to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Monitor and report project progress, ensuring that timelines and milestones are met.
Manage risks and issues, and proactively address challenges to maintain project momentum.
Team Empowerment:
Foster a high-performing team environment, encouraging collaboration, creativity, and innovation.
Empower team members to take ownership of tasks and make decisions within the Agile framework.
Continuous Improvement:
Facilitate and participate in retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and adaptation, encouraging the team to embrace change and innovation.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate project updates, and manage expectations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business goals and technical deliverables.
Training and Coaching:
Provide training and coaching on Agile methodologies to team members and stakeholders.
Foster a culture of knowledge-sharing and mentorship within the organization.
Responsibilities
Work with customer and stakeholders, agile leaders, architects, tech leads and engineering leadership to develop and maintain product vision
Inform and execute against product vision, strategies, and roadmaps.
Work with stakeholders and users to turn initiatives into user stories, and maintain a healthy and prioritized backlog with appropriately sized epics and stories.
Work with internal and external customers to prioritize development requests for the product
Prioritize feature delivery with product managers and engineering leads and manage stakeholder expectations.
Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of release/sprint goals
Work closely with the team to develop a clear definition of ready and definition of done.
Define and articulate personas, user journeys and key success metrics for the product
Work with development teams to address questions/concerns during sprints
Lead and communicate the release plan, advocate for the value of the product release
Constantly re-prioritizes the product backlog based on customers feedback and leadership direction
Provide clear direction conducive to shipping high quality products.
Define and collaborate around clear acceptance criteria and validate user stories as done.
Act as a key player across different ceremonies around the team: daily standup, user story refinement, sprint planning, team demos, and retrospectives.
Proactively engage with all areas of the organization to identify interdependencies, mutually beneficial goals, and influencing leadership.
Work closely with the scrum master to set up scalable and reliable ways to measure success and mechanisms to detect issues before they become risks.
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years’ experience working in some capacity with a software development team; 3 years as a Product Owner or Business Analyst.
Holds a relevant certification from a recognized organization, such as Certified Product Owner
Creative, analytical, experimental, and a team player.
Can effectively and confidently communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in written form
Capable of collaborating with multiple stakeholders both internal and external to the organization.
Enjoys and excels at problem-solving related to processes, workflow, communication and team dynamics
Knows how to quantify value and possesses a strong framework to justify backlog prioritization.
Great communicator that can inspire the team by conveying the vision and business value.
Working understanding of Scrum, and familiarity with at least one agile scaling framework.
Experience with common office productivity tools (Office, SharePoint, Outlook, Google Docs)
Expected to work onsite in Tampa, FL Monday - Thursday.
