Dental Assistant

Part time Dental Assistant Needed 2 Thursdays a month with room to grow to every Thursday a month.

Duties:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Record and update patient medical history and vital signs
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment

Experience:

- Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred
- Proficiency in taking dental x-rays and developing them
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Understanding of CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is desirable
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Experience with medical documentation systems like Epic is a plus
