Purpose: 3DFS is looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to assume responsibility for the manufacturing facility’s purchasing operations. The purchasing manager will be responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration preferred.
CPP (Certified Purchasing Professional) Certificate a plus
5 years of experience as a purchaser preferably in a manufacturing environment
Experience with procurement software
Proven track record of Process Improvement within a purchasing role

Previous experience in a leadership role, managing a team
Experience with manufacturing and accounting
Responsibilities:
Maintain records of goods ordered and received
Build and maintain relationships with vendors
Research and evaluate vendors to compare pricing, services and fulfillment times.
Select prospective vendors and negotiate contracts
Schedule deliveries and ensure timely fulfillment of orders
Ensure quality of procured items and address issues when they arise
Stay current with procurement trends and purchasing technology, implement as necessary
Maintain direct involvement with the inventory supervisor and other department managers to ensure a consistent flow of materials to support production
