Our client is seeking a QUALITY INSPECTOR to join their team in their manufacturing facility where you will work in a diversified role. The successful candidate will understand how to perform plate layout and measurements. This position offers a significant challenge for the right candidate.
- Perform First Piece Layouts using conventional layout techniques.
- Complete part inspections using conventional gauging
- Assure Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products meet quality specifications.
- Develop inspection practices and gauging for products.
- Develop, communicate, and implement Quality Standards.
- Monitor and analyze product quality.
- Assist the Quality Engineering Manager in assuring the QMS conforms to the customer, internal, industry (i.e., AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485), and regulatory/legal requirements by conducting audits and identifying gaps.
- Assist in creating Standard Operating Procedures and Inspection Methods.
- Assist in the collaboration to develop and implement quality and process controls and improvements.
- Assist in conducting internal quality audits and ensuring timely and sufficient corrective actions.
- Ensure that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
- Assist in investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
- Assist in the creation of the inspection area with the proper inspection devices.
- Assist in inspecting manufactured parts, issue non-conformance reports, and facilitate the disposition of MRB hardware and corrective action tasks.
Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma, technical vocational school, military training, or work equivalent
- 7 years of experience with Part Inspections and Drawing Interpretation Expertise
- Extensive knowledge of GD&T
- First Article and inspection method knowledge
- Sampling Plan Expertise
- Ability to complete simple calibrations and Dimensional and Visual Inspections
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis, Data analysis, and Statistical Process Control
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and task management skills
- Authorized to work within the U.S. without restrictions or sponsorship now or in the future (U.S. Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident of the U.S. (U.S. green card holder))
Preferred
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing
- Experience within metal-AM / metal Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF)
- Knowledge of IS0 9001:2015 Quality Management System
- Experience working within an ITAR/EAR compliant organization
- Cognizant of Quality trends and international regulatory compliance standards, including MDD 93/42/EEC, ISO 13485, and other applicable global requirements
- Project management experience
- CMM programming and the ability to run CMMs and Visual Inspection Devices
- Quality control certification (ASQC)
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong sense of ownership
- Team player with excellent communication skills
