Inpatient Facility Nurse, LPN
Location: Newport, NC (Crystal Coast Hospice House)
Hours: 4 Nine hour days each week. (1p-9p)

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Essential Job Functions:
1. Creates positive experiences for internal and external customers that will meet their expectations. Displays a high degree of courtesy, tact, and knowledge of services provided by the agency in all contact with staff, patients, and visitors.
2. Provides comfort to patient/family to facilitate quality of life and death with dignity.
3. Completes electronic documentation every shift.
4. Provides comfort to the patient/family to facilitate quality of life and death with dignity.
5. Teaches & counsels the patient/family regarding: (a) nursing care needs, (b) related problems with the terminally ill patient, (c) preparation for death, and (d) discharge plans.
6. Supervises the care given by the Certified Nursing Assistant to assigned patients.
7. 12 patients to 1 nurse 2 CNAs per shift
8. Maintains regular communication with supervisor.
9. Stays abreast of overall patient care and improves nursing care skills.
10. Demonstrates an interest in professional and personal growth.
11. Demonstrates a willingness to be cost effective.
One-year of recent experience in an acute care facility.
Possess and maintain current certification in CPR.
