The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Leading the site’s quality management processes including ISO compliance, audits, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), Nonconformity Notes (NCN), Material Review Board (MRB). Serving as the Subject Matter Expert for inspection (equipment includes coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and Keyence optical measurement devices) including fixture design and inspection routine programming. Working directly with quality technicians to prioritize, execute, and assist with measurement requests. Driving and facilitating high impact projects including transfer of quality processes to manufacturing sites, process qualifications, and process improvements Owning Dozuki and PLM administrative duties including owning and updating standards and other documentation. Overseeing the site’s calibration program by scheduling and working with internal and external calibration technicians to ensure equipment remain in compliance. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) Two (2) years of experience with quality engineering, in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Five (5) years of quality experience in a private, public, government or military environment Experience with: quality management systems, leading or actively participating in Quality Audits, working with ISO9001:2015 Experience with inspection equipment such as CMM or Keyence, designing fixtures, and programming routines Experience with 3D computer-aided design (CAD) Certification(s) that include: American Society for Quality (ASQ), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and/or Certified Quality Manager/Organizational Excellence (CQM/OE) Work location: Building 76 PSD Pilot Plant – Saint Paul, MN Travel: May include up to 5% domestic Relocation Assistance: May be authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status). The expected compensation range for this position is $93,033 - $113,708, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
