The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Health Care Tradeshow and Events Specialist supporting US and Canada, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Coordinating and overseeing the planning and logistics of trade shows supporting our Health Care Business Group.
- Collaborating with marketing in determining which trade shows are strategically critical, each trade show’s objectives, focus, budget and attendees
- Ensuring consistency in the USAC Healthcare tradeshow process while following established guidelines, procedures and tools. Providing direction and guidance and offering solutions where appropriate.
- Executing, supporting and/or managing the following:
- Provide regular updates to keep all stakeholders abreast of upcoming events and deadlines.
- Work with Planning Team to develop event-oriented pre-show promotions to encourage attendee engagement.
- Create pre-show briefing documents and lead regular monthly pre-show planning meetings.
- Lead on-site pre-conference meeting and daily debrief meetings.
- Evaluate and manage current and future booth requirements such as booth size, design and graphics.
- Manage exhibit house, coordinate logistics of the exhibit property including maintenance of the trade show exhibit, demonstration equipment and all accessories.
- Conduct and communicate post-show analysis, including metrics. May assist in developing tracking and measurement tools and processes.
- Work with appropriate internal departments to ensure leads are distributed and followed up in a timely manner,
- Recognize opportunities to sponsor conference sessions that align with marketing goals.
- Identify and investigate new trade show marketing opportunities based on company priorities and goals.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or related field (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Three (3) years in trade show coordination experience including project management within the marketing arena
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Understand production requirements and timelines of trade show production.
- Knowledge of guidelines when working with Health Care Professionals (HCPs)
- Ability to act quickly and decisively with solutions to unexpected issues.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) both internally and externally.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management, focus, prioritization skills and ability to handle multiple demands.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions and in a fast-moving environment while meeting deadlines
- Flexible, self-motivated, organized, and confident.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
- Familiarity with Eloqua, Jira and SalesForce.com
Travel: May include up to 50% - United States and Canada
Relocation Assistance: Remote will be considered
