Community Retail Manager
Reports To: VP of Retail Sales

Position Summary
The Community Retail Manager builds, and deepens relationships, internally and externally, in order to drive growth for the credit union and the communities we serve. Provides members and prospective members with financial resources in order to improve and enhance their lives. Uses effective communication and intuitive listening to build rapport and provide customized solutions that meet the member's needs. Identifies prospective members, follows up on potential members and deepens relationships with existing members. Uses expertise to provide advice and solutions to help members understand their financial needs and develop strategies to manage and grow. Uses process, persistence and persuasion to overcome objections and get the business based on the needs of the member or prospective member. Assesses risk and ensures compliance with all credit union policies and procedures, as well as Federal Laws and Regulations.
Knowledge Requirements

- Successful history of developing long term relationships with local businesses and centers of influence
- Professional appearance and demeanor, good interpersonal relations skills, and positive and optimistic outlook.
- Ability to interact with the public in a manner which promotes the interest of the Credit Union.
- Strong knowledge of consumer lending
- Understanding of commercial lending and underwriting of loans
- Consistent history of successful production
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationship with management, peers, employees, and vendors.
- Good understanding of financial institution products and services.
- Strong analytical, project management and presentation skills
- Knowledge of markets, competitor activities, problems and developing trends within assigned area
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Adheres to all federal, state and credit union regulations and policies.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- College degree in business-related field, preferred
- 2 years minimum experience of relationship building and outside sales calling, required
- 2 years minimum of consumer/retail lending
