Kennel Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our furry guests and ensuring their comfort and well-being during their stay at our facility.

Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and administering medication as directed by veterinary staff
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Monitor the behavior and health of animals, reporting any concerns or changes to the veterinary staff
- Exercise and socialize animals to promote their physical and mental well-being
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Assist with basic training exercises to reinforce positive behaviors
- Handle animals with care and compassion, ensuring their safety at all times
- Maintain accurate records of animal care activities

Experience:
- Previous experience in pet care or veterinary settings is preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior, handling techniques, and basic medical procedures is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both animals and pet owners
- Passion for working with animals and providing excellent care

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
